Turkey Day...Yumm!

I'm a little turkey!
Colton meets his Aunt Jamie!
Colton with his Pop-Pop! I loved talking to him!
Jeff, Lesle and Colton (Maddie was near by!)
Colton with his great grandparents for the very first time!

My very first Thanksgiving! I was such a good traveler. I went all the way to Bethlehem, PA! I slept for most of the trip, Mom and Dad drove through the night both there and back. They're pretty worn out, but I'm doing great! My Grandy bought me the most adorable Thanksgiving outfit...do ya like my turkey bib? I got to meet my Great Nanny and Great Pop-Pop. They're pretty special people. My Aunt Jamie is awesome! She got me the coolest skull hat. I'm going to be the coolest baby at day care! I also got to meet my Pop-Pop's daughters and their children. I especially liked Gigi, she wanted to take me home with her. I met Daddy's best friend Jeff, his girlfriend Lesle, and his daughter Maddie. Maddie rocked me right to sleep. I met my Grandpa Duffy's sister Ellen. I can't wait to wear all the cool clothes I got. Thanks everyone!

I've become very interested in food! I watch everything that goes into Mommy and Daddy's mouths. I even tried to grab a piece of lettuce out of Mommy's mouth the other day. At least I'm grabbing for veggies and not pie!

He rolled over without me!

So, this morning I was in a rush to get to work on time. About 10 minutes after I left Jeremy called me. Colton had rolled over from his back to his tummy this morning. He has been working on this really hard for a few days now. Yesterday he was actually trying to find things so he could pull himself over. I can't believe I missed it! At least Jeremy got to see it. Maybe he'll do it for Mommy tonight. We're super excited to be gearing up for our Thanksgiving trip up north! We'll see everyone soon!

Hi Grandy and Pop Pop

The First Week of Day Care is Over...Thank Goodness!

One of Colton's many facial expressions...this one says...WTF!

I thought I would put him in this shirt, just in case someone didn't know he is HANDSOME!

(not so much with that face though)

I think this week was much harder on me than it was on Colton. Jeremy dropped Colton off at daycare every day this week. I just couldn't do it. I still can't. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Thankfully work has been super busy and everyone there is ultra understanding. I don't think I've ever been so excited to come home in my life. It was my first full week back at work. Colton was in daycare Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, then my mom came and took care of the little munchkin Thursday and Friday. We're really looking forward to our trip up north next week for Thanksgiving! We're not looking forward to driving all night to get there, but that's what you do with an infant. Hopefully he'll sleep through the night just like he does at home. Keep your fingers crossed everyone!

We're thinking that Colton may be working on getting a tooth soon. He is slobbering something fierce and puts absolutely everything in his mouth. I'm sure we'll find out soon if our suspicions are correct.

We think he may have the beginnings of his very first cold :(. Today I noticed that he had a bit of a runny nose and he has been sneezing a lot lately. Let's hope it passes quickly!

Jeremy weighed Colton the other day and he was over 15 lbs! Looks like we've got a little chunker on our hands! He's not so much chubby as he is really long. He's about to be in size 3 diapers and wears a size 3-6 months in clothes. I guess he's right on track!

He did it! He rolled over!

We have been waiting for this for weeks! I can't believe we were lucky enough to catch it on camera. Sorry for the abrupt stop, but I got so excited! Going back to work this week was hard, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It really helped that my Mom was able to come and watch him Thursday and Friday while I went to work. THANKS! Jeremy is going to drop the little man off at day care and I'll pick him up for a little while, until I get used to this. I never thought I would be so upset about leaving him, but I guess I'm just like every other mom! Go figure! It also doesn't hurt that I'm super busy at work. There are tons of little ones who need help. I will try to get another roll over moment on tape soon! Have a great week everyone!

Mom's last week of Maternity Leave :(

Mom...do you mind? I'm trying to play here!
Sadie wants to play
I even brought my ball...can you play with me now?
Colton in his Halloween bib and skeleton outfit.Mom with her little lobster!
This week has flown by. I can't believe I start work again tomorrow. Seems like just yesterday we brought this little man home from the hospital. I'm really glad my mom lives so close and she will be able to keep Colton Thursday and Friday. Then he will head to big boy day care on Monday morning. I may need emotional support...I'm sure he'll be fine, but I'm not so sure about me.
We think he's going to roll over any day now. He's been throwing his legs from side to side, but I'm sure he'll wait until I'm not here to see it. He likes doing new things for my mom (Gramma), so I'm sure she'll get to see it. Let's just hope she can get it on camera. We're trying to upload a video from last night; it's taking entirely too long. It's really long, but he was having fun with his toys. We tried to get him to "talk" while playing, but he wouldn't perform. Go figure!~
We had to put the bumpers back on his crib this week. I woke up around 5am to find the little man's legs hanging out of his crib! It freaked me out a bit, so we fixed that problem with bumpers. He's been quite the escape artist when it comes to his swaddle. We're trying to wean him off of the swaddle by keeping one arm out. Somehow, he always seems to get the other one out too. Then he wakes me up by sucking his hands at 3am...sheesh!
Not much else has changed with the little man...he continues to get bigger and bigger every day!
