We have had a super busy week! Sunday, we had dinner with Colin and Meredith. Hopefully Colton worked his magic and they are thinking about babies ;). Tuesday, Mom, Colton and I went to visit Aunt Phyllis. He smiled at her immediately...he must know he is much loved by all! While we were in Charlotte, I picked up some adorable outfits for our trip to Pennsylvania. I know it will be a lot colder there than it will be here, so I wanted to make sure he would be nice and cozy. My mom is really enjoying spoiling Colton every time she sees him. Pretty soon, he's going to have his own room at her house :). Wednesday was my birthday, the big 2-9...wow...I'm getting OLD! We went out to dinner and Colton was a champ. Colton also turned 3 months old on Wednesday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! Thursday I met up with some of my co-workers from Richland One for lunch and he flirted with them. Now it's Friday and we're off again...this time we're headed to Florence for the weekend for yard work...or everyone else will be doing yard work and I will be on baby duty.
We've noticed a few changes in our little man. He's begun using his fingers independently and bends his wrist now. He moves his ankles and toes, too. He smiles at everyone. He's such a happy baby. We're very lucky. We're attempting to change his schedule slightly in anticipation of my return to work in a few weeks (tear...tear). I go back to work on 11/5. I've been getting him up a little earlier each day...sadly, it's not making him go to bed any earlier...still around 9pm...sheesh! He is still sleeping through the night, though. However, I've realized that if I have to wake him up earlier, that means that I have to wake up earlier...I don't really like that part of the bargain. I think he's been trying to laugh. It's more like a high pitched squeal, but I love it just the same. I've heard him laugh/giggle in his sleep, but not so much when he's awake. It makes you wonder what their dreaming about, huh?
On to bigger news....NO, we're not pregnant again. I've lost all of my baby weight!!! I'm fitting into jeans that I couldn't wear before I was pregnant. I guess pumping all that breast milk is paying off. Jeremy has lost over 20 lbs of sympathy weight. We're so proud of each other! We're on the road to being newer versions of our skinny selves! Jeremy been holding baseball practice this week and wasn't able to get home until around 6 pm...makes for a very long day for both Mommy and Daddy. Mommy really liked those days when Daddy got home around 4pm.
When we get back from Florence on Sunday, we're meeting the Jones Clan (Jared, Ashley and Bailey) for dinner and then we're headed to Boo at the Zoo. I can't wait to take pictures of Colton as a little lobster! He's going to be adorable! We'll take tons of pictures for everyone to see!
